October 5, 2009
- Begin researching videos for project inspiration and innovative ideas.
- Utilized the Max/Msp tutorials as a reference guide to seek objects to use in patch.

October 7, 2009
- Decided to use the cello for the audio in the project patch to be manipulated through the sub-topics.
- Made a decision to use the Hercules MK2 DJ Console as the controller for the final patch.

October 12, 2009
- Continued research on the background and timeline of the popularity of live sampling among artists.
- Also continued putting a working patch together using the objects found through the tutorials and other sources.

October 14, 2009
- Determined that the controller is a midi controller but will require assigning of elements through the route object.

October 15, 2009
- Updated the wiki page for live sampling.
- Continued adding to the Max patch and experimenting with different objects within Max.

October 16, 2009
- Created a route object for the controller and labeled the elements.
- Also, combined the controller with the patch to test its compatability to the final patch.
