  • Researched pitch tracking in the computer music tutorial
  • Researched a way to track the data given and how to process it
  • Experimented with the fiddle object to convert frequency to midi

November 4, 2009

  • Decided to use the sigmund object instead of the fiddle object
  • Figured out all of the possibilities of the pitch tracker patch
  • Decided what to do with the midi information
  • Gathered historical background of pitch detection

November 7, 2009

  • Added a harmonizer
  • Figured out how the computer can harmonize a certain way when notes are played
  • Patch now detects the peaks of the frequency
  • Begin testing the electric guitar with the max patch

November 8, 2009

  • Completed the presentation algorithmic composition

November 9, 2009

  • Revised powerpoint presentation for final product
  • Tested all hardware, software, and instruments with computer for presentation
